Man Plans, and God Laughs!

Question from #FPQ and it is related to his #FOWC prompt word “HELP” at least in my mind. Click here for more details.

Fandango asks! Hmmmm!

“Given the matter how much control we have over our own lives, my provocative question this week is…
Looking at your own situation, how much of your life is formed by things that are outside of your control versus things that are within your control? Please elaborate to the extent you feel comfortable.”

******

I live according to this adage, “Man Plans, and God Laughs.” Not to say I don’t plan, I do. Every day while sipping my coffee, I talk to God, not a formal prayer, just talk. I plan my day and end it with, “according to your Will, not mine.” Sometimes I beg, knowing that He is in charge, and of course, I always (try) depend on His HELP!

So far, looking back on my life (soon to be 82). It has been about as good as it gets — with many complications and snags. The worse of my years was between 1969 – 1982. Those were the years I did not depend on God’s HELP! I even doubted the existence of God. Like so many other Catholics, I was led right out of the Church into a new modern way of thinking. (Novus Ordo=Vatican II)

I realize I am getting away from the provocative question, so back on track, I will end by saying I now know that nothing of my life is under my control, except my daily prayer for HELP! I learned the hard way when my dependence on God was on the back burner; everything was chaos. The horror of it was, I didn’t know how disordered my life was; I only knew I was not at peace.

Prayer will always OBVIATE despair.

Why I am a TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC!

Vatican II, a council, ALTERED the ALTAR within the Church building.
I’LL be a fallen away laity when walking down their AISLE, rather live on an ISLE alone with my rosary in hand.

WORD OF THE DAY – Pontificate

One of those words not everyone agrees with because of what it symbolizes. Catholics know it means the earthly head of His Church, while Jesus is the absolute head. Especially in the present era, we question; how can the pontificate contradict from one successor to another and still be consider being under the guidance of the Sanctifier, the Holy Ghost, Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity? Truth is the pontificate can’t! The doctrines of the Church were true when Christ founded His Church as they are true today.
It is evident that today, since Vatican Council II, addressed relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world early in the 60s it was decided by those who finally gained control of the hierarchy to adapt to the world. Is it any wonder why Jesus in the Bible warns us of the great apostasy from the Pontificate;

“I say to you, that He will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall He find, think you, faith on earth?” [Luke 18:8]

Word Prompts

Reform = Viperous, in this case

BELIEVE IT OR NOT

It is suggested we write about “REFORM” see the challenge here:
The word “reform” is synonymous with words as “amend, rearrange, transform, remake.” Words that mean change and change is NOT always wise.  In the case of the teachings of Christ, it is detrimental. Which is why the Bible warns us of Vatican II, which addressed relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world in the early 60’s. Not just like that, however, the infiltration of the Church began centuries earlier. It is a well-known and documented fact that the agents of Communism began entering our Catholic seminaries as far back as the 30s to destroy the Church from within.

God who sees all things gave us this warning below which can be read in all accurate Bibles:  Look up the Second Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians Chapter 2.

The day of the Lord is not to come until the man of sin is revealed. The apostle’s traditions are to be observed.

[1] And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him: That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.  Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

“A revolt”: This revolt, or falling off, is generally understood, by the ancient fathers, of a revolt from the Roman empire, which was first to be destroyed, before the coming of Antichrist. It may, perhaps, be understood also of a revolt of many nations from the Catholic Church; which has, in part, happened already, by means of Mahomet, Luther, &c., and it may be supposed, will be more general in the days of the Antichrist.

“The man of sin”: Here must be meant some particular man, as is evident from the frequent repetition of the Greek article: ‘the man of sin, ‘the son of perdition, ‘the adversary or opposer. It agrees to the wicked and great Antichrist, who will come before the end of the world.

“In the temple”: Either that of Jerusalem which some think he will rebuild; or in some Christian church, which he will pervert to his worship: as Mahomet has done by the churches of the east.    (Bible footnotes)

[6] And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, [9] Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, [10] And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

[10] “God shall send”: That is God shall suffer them to be deceived by lying wonders, and false miracles, in a punishment of their not entertaining the love of truth.

[11] That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. [12] But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you first fruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: [13] Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [14] Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle. [15] Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace.
