I Felt like a WORDLE today! Enjoy!

Whirl

The Sunday Whirl

Have you ever had a near-death experience? I haven’t! Sigh!
Those that have described it as not knowing they were dead. Some hear a voice while still others travel through a tunnel. The atheist would deny this unless it happened to them. Others can’t wait to tell their story and never skip a part of it. Upon their return, they signal relief, having not yet heard their final sentence from the Judge. Like as the good book says “the wailing and gnashing.” It makes me wonder whats in the bag for me. Sometimes I wish I can throw away my past.

Halloween or Hallo-erred

Scary stuff now the day for scary!
Scared paralyzed, momentarily.
Suspended is dangling, not moving.
The Ghost Word could it be removing!
Scribble the dribble — rewrite the right!
Politics, lunatic are today—
Many wishing it was yesterday!
Remember, don’t be scared get prepared.
The ghost word today is Hallo-erred!

dVerse

What in the world is it?

dVerse has come up with something different so what is it?   Also, what is it, within my Prosery written here for dVerse and its host?  More questions than answers, first the rules — 144 words or less, using a particular line which is “When far away an interrupted cry.”  Use it in your story, here is my attempt below.

My Prosery

Oh dear, another sleepless night, looking at the clock, thinking, and it’s only 1:30 in the morning. Perhaps if a lie here a little longer I’ll fall asleep. Sigh! When far away, an interrupted cry, what was that? I wondered.
Sitting straight up, in bed, looking half numb out the opened window. To afraid to move an inch. Sounded like a bird or was it a banshee? Was it outside or inside. Did that sound come from my attic or basement?
I can’t stand another moment; I’ll sit here and say that prayer I use to say when I was a kid. “Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.” I feel sleepy now, good night whoever you are.

Tanka Tuesday by Colleen Chesbro

SCARY Haiku

Colleen gave us two very pleasant and sunny words, the synonyms are also enjoyable.

How I wonder did my poem arrive at such a scary warning?  Could it be I wanted to juxtapose the good and the bad?

My post here is an acceptance of Colleen Chesebro Challenge Tanka Poetry; her challenge is to use the synonyms for the words “Fantasy and Merry”  my choice was “Visions and Joyous”  –

Beware of visions
devil resembles joyous
