Eugi's Weekly, Weekend Writing Prompt

End means BEGINNING

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt “Transition” August 24, 2020

Pondering on a phrase I heard in an old black and white movie I watched on Youtube recently. “The end only means a new beginning.” TRANSITION for lack of a better word.

At birth, the beginning of life created body and soul. Even when the body dies, it is the beginning of new life for our soul. Believe it or not! Time will tell! Eternity?  HandOfGod

As we mature, each birthday ends a year but begins a new year.
We as children graduate from school ending, but beginning an adult life.
Let’s look at the little things we do. Our workday ends, relaxation begins.
We fall asleep only to awake to the beginning of a new day.

There is an end to the “temporal” of this world. A movie; ends! Read a book until the end! Music ends! Our pets, plants their life ends! Why?
Because these things only pertain to the present life of this world. They are temporary, not eternal. Their souls are mortal, not immortal, as endless.

Ah! Another Challenge, Politics, Word Prompts

Do Beeee of Good CHARACTER

The prompt today is the word “Character.”  I love prompts because they always make me dust off my brain.  I only wish I had the time to participate in them all, but I do have a life outside this “box” of electronics.  Today I plan to clean out my shed, I better put on my mask to protect me from the dust.  LOL!

Here is my take today on the subject of Character click if you want to join.

Today the world is living with so many different characters and trying to get along is a challenge itself. — A confusion wrought by change, black is now white, right is now wrong, but what was wrong is now the new normal.

There is a conspiracy to rid the world of God. Anyone who denies this is either part of it or one with their head in the sand. How do I know this, LOOK AROUND?

In my 80 years of life, I have met many characters most with integrity, others eccentric, or cranks. Lucky me, I get along with all of them, some better than others. They all have something to give.

The world is so filled today with chaos; who are we, or mainly who am I to say who is correct or mistaken to believe in a conspiracy. I have reached to point in my life, to pray for truth, let the world go by, and hope that when it stops for me to get off, I will be ready to face God when He asks me like He will ask all of us. HOW DID YOU KEEP THE FAITH?

I Believe Because

I Believe Because

Thinking of my recent followers, now, for some time, I notice several are atheistic.
I feel compelled to explain why I believe in God since many of my followers are doubters.
Thinking along these lines journeyed deep into my nature as to why I believe in God. I have always accepted, but there was a time when I doubted. It was that time in my life I wanted my will to be done; therefore, I pushed God on the back burner. I notice something was amiss in my life; it was peace, so I began to pray again. With prayer anew, daily activities resulted at the end of unrest. This END forced me to the BEGINNING of peace.

Why do I believe in God? I will write about in subsequent writings beginning with a series of posts.

Today with this post I believe, because I pray!

true story

This is the reason … why all the hype

Better understanding:

Here is a little more information on the virus that may help explain a few things that people don’t understand. This is from an immunologist at Johns Hopkins University.

🧐🧐🧐

Feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell. I hope this helps. Feel free to share this with others who don’t understand…

It has to do with RNA sequencing…. I.e. genetics.

Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year… you get immunity two ways…through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot.

Novel viruses come from animals…. the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually, these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans… then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off.

Now…. sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s the only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human… once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, that’s what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be..

H1N1 was deadly….but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. Its RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too.

Fast forward.

Now, here comes this Coronavirus… it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long…but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person… But here is the scary part…. in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery”

This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because Humans have no known immunity…doctors have no known medicines for it.

And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs..

That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza…. this one is slippery AF. And it’s a lung eater…And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L….which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine.

We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places have helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu.

Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Black Plague passed…(honestly…I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation…

And let me end by saying….right now it’s hitting older folks harder… but this genome is so slippery…if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next.

Be smart folks… acting like you’re unafraid is so not the right thing right now.

#flattenthecurve and share this to those that just are not catching on.

•Again, not a judgment this post, just posting this information I bumped into. 💕✌️

Be Careful — Don’t Fall

The squeaky wheel gets the oil; oh, I get it! The ones who make the most noise get their way! Don’t forget the grease or oil is slippery! Those who come in contact with it may fall. Reminds me of this proverb:
“A deceitful tongue loveth not truth: and a slippery mouth worketh ruin.”
Proverbs 26:28

Pondering Padre Pio, his story

Haven’t posted now for a few days, just been busy pondering instead. Here on WordPress, some interesting people come up with prompts to encourage us to write. Today I accept the challenge of one such prompt, “Movie Titles”;SoCS is asking to use the last title of the movie we watched.

Last night I watched a Youtube movie titled “Padre Pio” for those who do not know this person all you need do is search the internet, he is one worth remembering.

The link to the very long and moving movie is … https://tinyurl.com/sa7n7u5

The film and my pondering have haunted me with this thought:

The Church teaches us that Jesus Christ suffered and died for ALL, but not all people care about it! In the Garden just before He was taken to begin His Passion of death, He saw our faces. Each and every one of us He saw. He knew who would appreciate His reason for coming into the world; His goal was not to live but to die for us. He began to sweat His Blood when He saw the faces of those who would not care.

Thinking again, how there is no such thing as “Time” when it refers to God the thought of Him suffering just for me that day, centuries before I was born, overwhelms my mind today!

Lens—Artists my delicate image

This amazing image was captured a few days ago as I drove down a country road.

A tree growing out of a dead stump, I titled it “Resurection”; a reminder of how our bodies will rise again as the Catholic Creed promises.

I believe … “The resurrection of the body, and life everlasting, Amen”.

Just In Case…you never know!

#FOWC the word of the day is simply “CASE.”

Just in case I’m gone tomorrow
Blogging here will be no longer
Words to be evermore swirling
Fixed speech going it seems nowhere!
Eternity
Lastly, words searched do rekindle
Falling on eyes alive to see!
One person’s morality as
Who was; yet never more TO BE!

Found Poetry of why Catholics Honor Mary

Learning something as I go along — i.e. what is “found poetry?”

Plus an added bonus in that dVerse wants poetry regarding Privileges.

Reading here on WordPress from other knowledgeable bloggers aroused my interest.  I did what any other person does these days, search google.

Wanting to try it, I decided to go for the Bible and see what poetry I could find.  After researching “found poetry” and the rules, there were none — changing, switching words, cutting, pasting adding or subtracting anything is permitted as part of the creativeness.

However

I was at a disadvantage searching the Bible because, well you know the Bible is the Word of God; therefore having to be careful not to change the context was a must.

Taken from the Book of Luke; Chapter 1

Title of my “found” poem

The PRIVILEGE of Mary

(verse 26)    Angel Gabriel
(29)               His word
(30)               Hast found grace
(35)               Power of the Most High
(38)               The angel departed
(42)               Blessed art thou among women
(46)               Mary said
(48)               All generations shall call me BLESSED

With the exception of seeking into the Bible for God’s Words.

Otherwise the art of FOUND POETRY, in my opinion, the art is in the montaging of words.

Earthquakes news and forecasts

Regularly I tune into the live earthquake website and Dutchsinse on Youtube. Lately, there is a severe showing of activity near the crater known as the Pisgah Crater Volcano. For those yet to be introduced to Dutchsinse and his predictions and No he is not a prophet, just a young regular guy who discovered a unique scientific way of forecasting earthquakes. A little about Dutch; his fundamental discovery based on science which is why the “experts” hate him.

Getting back to my interest in this Pisgah Crater Volcano is because it seems it might be an awakening of a small volcano there in Ludlow Calif.

Not sure if the readers have been following since the mainstream news spends most of their time spinning the earthquakes that are ongoing in the world of politics. Brainwashing those who can’t think, but only obey those who preach bunkum.

Getting back to: Have you realized today about 1,500 potentially active volcanoes worldwide, which reminds me of this verse: “And there shall be great earthquakes in divers places, and pestilences, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there shall be great signs.”[Luke 21:11]

Living today, in my opinion, is undoubtedly lively!

Never Give Up

My first attempt for dVerse at Rubaiyat which is a  form of poetry.

Titled: Time; Your Gift

Our sashaying through viability
Little thought of essence, humility
Yet, pride leads the way to an illusion
Self-fulfilling to disability.

Near the end, its all about confusion
Wrought from competence to our delusion.
We cry out with great regret — life, time, gone!
Truth = what IS! God always the solution!

Word Prompts

HE knows; so do YOU!

FOWC another blogger here on WordPress always has some exciting prompts to excite our way of thinking. Today the word is “Heretic.”

One can ask a zillion people what heresy is; receive definitions from A to Z with numerous various opinions in between. Example: What is the truth?

God knows the heart and soul of each of us; He knows the opportunity we have been given to know the Truth, He knows if we want His Truth or do we want our truth?

This particular verse in the Apocalypse of the Bible sums it up for me, simple and to the point:

“But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth.”
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 3:16]

Dance the Masquerade

Apologizing for telling the truth in our society is a sequelae of liberalism.
Examining the actions of those on the left, proves those on the right are

RIGHT!

Here is our fight:
Paid puppets
licking the blood of innocent babies.
Sightless who can no longer see; living in darkness;
are we boys or girls they question, animals or human.
Yet, they want all to follow, the blind leading
as they dance with the devil!

Dance the masquerade
The pretense of joy —Oh Boy!

Denying God does not destroy Him

My post here is an acceptance of Colleen Chesebro Challenge Tanka Poetry; her challenge is to use the synonyms for the words “Love and Time” Numerous synonyms will be underlined.   To join the fun click here:

Without devotion
a season beyond passion,
do not destroy God.
To deny Him we destroy
us — eternity without!

Ah! Another Challenge, Word Prompts

Moment of Truth …

Death is the moment of Truth!

Why is it so morbid to think of death?

Is it because we are afraid of the truth.

Life, on the other hand, is a pleasant subject, we have high expectations, hopes for happiness, and delusions that it will never end.
As the years go by, that moment of truth gets closer and nearer.
We push it away, but why?

The reason is, we don’t understand our purpose in life. What is our mission?

Simply put, it is “To Know, Love and Serve God in this life so we will be happy with Him in Eternity.”

Many Christians seek a lifestyle that speaks the reason for life is for God, to know me, love me and serve me, then they wonder why they fear that moment of truth, DEATH!

The atheist reasoning best explained from an epitaph etched on a gravestone. “All dressed up and no place to go.”
