Christian Belief

Christians KNOW YOUR ENEMY who is closer than you know

I have been thinking about this for a long time, after years of prayers, and spiritual reading, the most detrimental enemy to losing your soul is your Pride. God hates pride and loves humility, it is right there before your eyes, read your Bible.

Pray for humility if you want to win Heaven. Jesus meek and humble of heart make our heart onto Thy Heart.

Inspired to write this here and now, take it or leave it!

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The Catholic Church teaches us that this beatitude has nothing to do with poverty as with worldly riches or money.
The beatitudes are disposed of in an order. Also, are the basic teachings of Christ one teaching flows smoothly one into another.
Each beatitude preceding one prepares the way for what immediately follows, furnishing us in particular with spiritual arms of such graces as are necessary for obtaining the virtue of the next beatitude.

“Thus the poor in spirit (the genuinely humble) will mourn for their offenses to God, and whoever is filled with sorrow/contrition for his sins cannot but be just and behave to others with meekness and clemency; when possessed of these virtues, he then becomes pure and clean of heart. Peace of conscience reigns in this assemblage of virtues and cannot be expelled from the soul by any tribulations, persecutions, or injustices of men.
What is this poverty of spirit but humility and contrition? This virtue of humility is placed in the first place of the beatitudes; it is the parent of every other virtue, as pride is the mother of every vice. Pride deprived our first parents of their original innocence, and nothing but humility can restore us to our former purity. We may pray and fast; we may be possessed of mercy, chastity, or any virtues; if humility does not accompany them, they will be like the virtue of the Pharisee, without foundation, without fruit.

#YDWord, Word of the Day Challenge, Word Prompts

BEWARE of the unforgivable!

Make sure your Faith is not considered KAPUT for lack of a better word, the word prompt for today! Kaput

Mark 3:28-29, ….” But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”

We can’t live a life of sin while hoping that we still will make it to heaven one day.

BEWARE

Of Christians who believe ONLY in words, “believe in Jesus Christ and be saved.” Redeemed, yes, but to be saved, they must act. But they continue their lives of living in sin, believing that they will be held unaccounted for — without a change — since Jesus died for our sins. They forget that He redeemed them, but they must amend their lives, not presume they are saved without giving up their sins.

PRESUMPTION is one of several sins against the Holy Ghost.

It is not ME, warning, it is the WRITTEN WORD & I QUOTE. Here we can read not only FAITH; we must amend our life.

James 2:22-24

“Seest thou, that faith did co-operate with his works; and by works faith was made perfect? … Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?”

Or if you prefer the Protestant version see below

King James Version (KJV 1900)22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? verse 22 – You see, his faith and his actions worked together.  His actions made his faith complete.  The actions are works, not just words. Beware of presumption, meaning to only presume you are saved and continue a life of living in sin.

Forgive me if I sound like I am pointing at you or judging, I am NOT! I feel inspired to write this because it happened to me, the evil one deceived me into actually believing that God was pleased with my life, although I knew in my heart, I was living in sin. Deception is a true chimera delusion.

Just Because

I started to paint again!

The world is a little crazy these days; perhaps God is near the end of His patience if that could be possible.

“Cast me not off in the time of old age: when my strength shall fail, do not thou forsake me.” Psalm 70-9

This past week I have had two great distractions, so I haven’t posted much. I ordered my own Haydock Bible, Douay Rheims, with commentary of Haydock. I purchased mine from Refuge of Sinners Publishing for $130.00 @ 812-967-2531, or you can get it from Amazon here Haydock Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible: Rev. George Haydock: 9781622920587: Amazon.com: Books

It is beautiful to have a commentary from the Early Fathers of the Church.

I am enjoying my time reading it!

Also, lately perhaps because of the situations with the world, looking at my religious pictures from the internet and books, I never noticed before. Still, recently I noticed that the images of Jesus and Mary are so serious and should be. Yet I desired to see at least the Mother of God smile at me; I searched and searched but could not find one. Some I found were almost a smile when she is pictured holding her Divine Son, Jesus.

I haven’t touched my watercolor paints in years, but I decided to paint a picture of her smiling at me, as you guessed. My paints were all dried up, and I had to soak them in water, find my brushes & paper, and find a frame; I prayed for help because of old shaky hands belonging to me! This project kept me out of trouble last week since I could think of nothing else.

Even with God’s help, I discovered this was the best I could do, but at least she is smiling at me!

She hangs near the entrance into my humble home; for all who enter, she smiles at them too!

I pity those who ignore her, for she magnifies her Son; they miss so much, perhaps in time. Luke 1-46 “And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord.”

Did You Know

Valentine’s Day is a Catholic Saint’s Feast Day, known as St. Valentine

Valentine’s Day is ALMOST HERE!

My favorite SECULAR quote on the theme LOVE “You always hurt the one you love.” by Allan Roberts also a very popular song with the same words for the Title.

My favorite supernatural quote has to be.
“Let us therefore love God, because God first hath loved us.” 1John 4:19

Love, love and love!

Ah! Another Challenge

God said, “Let there be light.”

“Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself.”
by Desiderius Erasmus

“Let their way become dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them.” Psalms 34:6

God said, “Let there be light.”
Did He create dark as well, or
was darkness always there?
I wonder. Dark the absence of light!

What the WORLD NEEDS NOW IS God’s ORDER, NOT a

NEW WORLD ORDER

The opposite of Hope is Despair! Today so many of us live on fear, which is one of the ploys of communism. What do we have today, FEAR! DESPAIR, no HOPE for the future. We tend to believe what we hear and what we hear is what the New World Order wants YOU to hear, which is why you already see so much censorship. Another tactic of communism.
Beginning with … “that’s not a ‘politically correct’ jingle.” Surrender of Freedom of speech!
That’s what comes with the New World Order. We live in a time where those who hate conservativeness; those who live with this hate. Hate another point of view, hate God, desire only a world without God.

Perhaps we are getting very close to sliding down that slippery slope but into what? The world, the Church both seem to be sliding together into the mud. Yes, we have God’s promise He will always be with us. However, He never intended for us to seek a modern religion that suits our lifestyle.
If you research while going back in time, those who seek God should know that when Jesus was on earth, He said when He returns would He find FAITH upon the earth. Speaking of the Church, He founded. “But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, (Second Coming) shall He find, think you, faith on earth?” Luke 18:8
Today, the Roman Catholic Church is in apostasy (Look at what the so-called pope is saying these days.) There is still a remnant, pockets of Traditional Catholics all over the world. Click to search

Ignore the communist tricks to imprison you; fear them NOT. Vote your conscience and, above all, PRAY for Godly ORDER!

Controversial Stream of Consciousness

Contentious and or Controversial

First off, if your guilty, see a traditional Catholic priest. There is no sin greater than the mercy of God.

Watching a video on Youtube about what happened after Jesus was born; the Gospel of Matthew explains Herod becomes angry after the Magi did not return to him, and tell Herod what he wanted to know about the birth of the New King.

Thus saith the Lord: A voice was heard on high of lamentation, of mourning, and weeping, of Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted for them, because they are not.”

After researching the word “Rachel” (above quote) “Thus saith the Lord: A voice was heard on high of lamentation, of mourning, and weeping, of Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted for them, because they are not.”

BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT.

The video was vivid showing the murder of all these innocent little ones brought tears, and sorrow reminds me of today, the reprehensible sin of abortion.

I understood Rachel represented the women/mothers women in those parts mourning for their slaughtered infants.
How sad, know this, fellow Christians, God will never bless our nation while this heinous sin is legal.
Vote to defund abortion if you consider yourself a Christian, God, in the end, will give us all that we desire. His Will or ours. Your CHOICE!

Pretty Scary Stuff Divulged

What’s wrong beside everything?

The word from FOWC today is interesting to me since I just read about China’s discovery. AND THE WORD IS DIVULGE!
Let me divulge a Biblical prophecy ABOUT THE BEAST written in the book of Apocalypse chapter 13, verse 13 — ” And he did great signs so that he made also fire to come down from heaven unto the earth in the sight of men.”

The Bible carries scary words, but following the link below broadens them.

Doomsday stuff, you say … TIME WILL TELL!

Ragtag Daily Prompt / RDP, Supernatural Reality

Who sits in the temple of God?

The prompt word today is…SCHISM.

Most people don’t know or worse care

of schism the most significant division so

grand that it is even warned to us in the Bible.

+++++++++++

Bible. “Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.” (The Chair of St. Peter, First Pope, THE ROCK”)

2nd Epistle of St Paul to the Thessalonians Chapter 2

Is it any wonder many are in awe at the things the person sitting in the Chair, says or does.  Vatican II, the New religion they call “catholic.”

FULL MOON and more!

If you’re out and about this week, don’t miss the chance to see one of the astronomical highlights of summer as a full moon rises this Thursday. Our satellite reaches its full phase on August 15, an event that’s popularly called the Full Sturgeon Moon. With it comes two chances on Thursday for North Americans to witness a spectacular sight of a full moon in twilight close to dawn or sunset.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and the moon, and the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, because of the confusion of the roaring of the sea and the waves;” [Luke 21:25]

WE ARE GETTING CLOSER

Today coincidence or chance; the fact that the Traditional Catholic Church calendar celebrates August 15. Why? It is an exceptional Holy Day known as the Assumption of the body of the Mother of God.

Jesus Christ IS God, and the definition of Truth is… WHAT IS!

God, the Father the Creator, created her perfect because of the unique role His Will was for her.

Many believe in Jesus Christ but ignore His mother, God’s instrument in the incarnation of Christ. If she was good enough for Jesus, she is good enough for all of us. To neglect His mother; tantamount, to when the angels were created loving God yet challenged His will. How could a mere human creature be more magnificent than they? AND THEY FELL!

“He hath made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.”

[Psalms 103:19]

“Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?”

[Canticles (Solomon) 6:9]

Found Poetry of why Catholics Honor Mary

Learning something as I go along — i.e. what is “found poetry?”

Plus an added bonus in that dVerse wants poetry regarding Privileges.

Reading here on WordPress from other knowledgeable bloggers aroused my interest.  I did what any other person does these days, search google.

Wanting to try it, I decided to go for the Bible and see what poetry I could find.  After researching “found poetry” and the rules, there were none — changing, switching words, cutting, pasting adding or subtracting anything is permitted as part of the creativeness.

However

I was at a disadvantage searching the Bible because, well you know the Bible is the Word of God; therefore having to be careful not to change the context was a must.

Taken from the Book of Luke; Chapter 1

Title of my “found” poem

The PRIVILEGE of Mary

(verse 26)    Angel Gabriel
(29)               His word
(30)               Hast found grace
(35)               Power of the Most High
(38)               The angel departed
(42)               Blessed art thou among women
(46)               Mary said
(48)               All generations shall call me BLESSED

With the exception of seeking into the Bible for God’s Words.

Otherwise the art of FOUND POETRY, in my opinion, the art is in the montaging of words.

Heaven on Earth, Somewhere!

How exciting! #FFFC his photo prompt; the image reminded me immediately of what I heard in school many years ago.

A picture of the Garden of Eden, described in the Bible; this is how I imagine it before Adam and Eve offended God. There are many theories about its location today, just thinking about it stirs the imagination further.

As we look at the image CLICK  here;

We experience total peace, if you listen carefully you really can hear the melody of heavenly music, vision the garden perfumed with lush vegetation, forever youthful, true love, beauty and complete friendship of all the animals. Living forever without fear or disease.

HE knows; so do YOU!

FOWC another blogger here on WordPress always has some exciting prompts to excite our way of thinking. Today the word is “Heretic.”

One can ask a zillion people what heresy is; receive definitions from A to Z with numerous various opinions in between. Example: What is the truth?

God knows the heart and soul of each of us; He knows the opportunity we have been given to know the Truth, He knows if we want His Truth or do we want our truth?

This particular verse in the Apocalypse of the Bible sums it up for me, simple and to the point:

“But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth.”
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 3:16]

Mother most amiable; just one of the salutations of Mary, the Mother of God; explained within the Litany of Loreto.
The Bible gathers our understanding contained within the pages of Luke chapter 1; her soul magnifies the Lord, the more we honor her, the more we will be embellished with grace to love her Son, Jesus Christ. She is, after all, God’s gracious Masterpiece of creation because she was created to be A LIVING TABERNACLE, His shelter for nine months. Nothing dishonored can be The Vessel that carries God. EVER!

Tradition + Haibun Poetry just for YOU!

My Haibun for dVerse

Once Upon Tradition, we discovered that Truth and Humility are very similar in the fact that humility, among other definitions, is acceptance of Truth. Without humility, we cannot win heaven. Because If humility is missing, PRIDE is present.
Just think, it is very straightforward! God can only create goodness, and the angels when created were untainted. However tradition explains, God who knows all things, foretold to His angels that He would also create a nature with a lower essence than His angels. God continued to educate the angels of His plan, but many of them objected to giving one particular woman her proper place. “I will not serve.” The idea that a mere woman would be so privileged, blessed and recognized as to carry God within her human body.

Luke chapter 1; verse 48 “All generations shall call me BLESSED.”

At that moment in time Pride was born into existence, many angels fell.
Pride originated; deception appeared. The fallen then showing Adam and Eve how pleasant Pride looks, Eve accepted the bait while exercising free will thus; giving a new twist on that phrase, “The right to choose.”

Freewill — right to choose
angels, devils, good, evil
humility, pride

REBIRTH really is PURIFICATION

Inspired by the word prompt of The Daily Spur, and Open Night of dVerse.

PURIFICATION —Just because you don’t believe, doesn’t mean it isn’t so! God does exist, and we will all stand before Him. Never gamble with eternity, it is forever!

Consider your life, is your conscience purified, satisfied that when you stand before the merciful judge, all is right. God gives us time to do His Will.

Confession is good for the soul, seek out a Traditional priest and talk to him. You don’t believe in confessing to another, but then why go to a therapist, counselor, or a best friend to confess your guilt. They can listen but have no power to wash your soul. Only a duly ordained priest can do that in the name of Jesus. “Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.” [John 20:23]

It is a great feeling to be disinfected, purged from guilt, free and filled with His grace; absolution is there for the taking. Confession is an excellent gift from God, and it is FREE. No therapist fees. Try it you will love it! Purification!

Proof of Christianity for the Unbeliever

My Christian and especially my Traditional Catholic Faith has been questioned on previous posts here recently, the unbeliever insists on proof.  This is my proof below for any interested readers.

I apologize for the scandal the current leadership of the Novus Ordo (mainstream Vatican II religion) is inflicting on the word “Catholic” just another persecution of the Faith.  In God’s perfect time will end;  even the gates of Hell will never prevail.

Thinking about the many world religions and the good they have within them. Yes, in my opinion, they all have some good which comes from God. The fullness of good, however, comes from the religion that God founded.

How do we know?   Jesus Christ, God became a man, founded the only True 100% fullness, and not the other man religions which some even existed before Christianity.
One way would be to look at all their founders, line them up and see which of them was pre-announced, only one; Jesus Christ! No doubt this is why we date historical events

as

BC = Before Christ and AD = After His Death. Finally when He did come as the Old Testament described, He was expected therefore He is the ONE correct logic would research.
Looking at His life but especially His death, who else ever wrought a religion that began with defeat and suffering but conquered His ignominious death on the Cross. A faith that suffered one persecution after another held together and made stronger with each death of the martyrs which were the seeds of the Church. Meaning the sacrifice of their lives leads to the conversion of others. Jesus proved He is Divine when He rose from the dead by His power, and in those days even His enemies never denied that.

Reform = Viperous, in this case

BELIEVE IT OR NOT

It is suggested we write about “REFORM” see the challenge here:
The word “reform” is synonymous with words as “amend, rearrange, transform, remake.” Words that mean change and change is NOT always wise.  In the case of the teachings of Christ, it is detrimental. Which is why the Bible warns us of Vatican II, which addressed relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world in the early 60’s. Not just like that, however, the infiltration of the Church began centuries earlier. It is a well-known and documented fact that the agents of Communism began entering our Catholic seminaries as far back as the 30s to destroy the Church from within.

God who sees all things gave us this warning below which can be read in all accurate Bibles:  Look up the Second Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians Chapter 2.

The day of the Lord is not to come until the man of sin is revealed. The apostle’s traditions are to be observed.

[1] And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him: That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.  Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

“A revolt”: This revolt, or falling off, is generally understood, by the ancient fathers, of a revolt from the Roman empire, which was first to be destroyed, before the coming of Antichrist. It may, perhaps, be understood also of a revolt of many nations from the Catholic Church; which has, in part, happened already, by means of Mahomet, Luther, &c., and it may be supposed, will be more general in the days of the Antichrist.

“The man of sin”: Here must be meant some particular man, as is evident from the frequent repetition of the Greek article: ‘the man of sin, ‘the son of perdition, ‘the adversary or opposer. It agrees to the wicked and great Antichrist, who will come before the end of the world.

“In the temple”: Either that of Jerusalem which some think he will rebuild; or in some Christian church, which he will pervert to his worship: as Mahomet has done by the churches of the east.    (Bible footnotes)

[6] And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, [9] Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, [10] And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

[10] “God shall send”: That is God shall suffer them to be deceived by lying wonders, and false miracles, in a punishment of their not entertaining the love of truth.

[11] That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. [12] But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you first fruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: [13] Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [14] Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle. [15] Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace.

Catholic Church vs. the Vatican

It’s PERPETUAL — The Church — It’s BIBLICAL

It’s difficult these days to defend the Catholic church when the world looks at the Vatican as the center of Catholicism, yet they are wrong!

Why should we be surprised, doesn’t, the Bible warn of a Great falling away from the Church that Christ found, St. Peter the rock as His first Vicar. Today we see and being foretold of this crisis in II Thessalonians. Speaking in Thessalonians of the Second Coming of Christ, the end times. Chapter 2
By falling away, I mean in numbers, “But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, faith on earth?” Luke 18:8

Then again …
… we also have His promise that even the gates of hell will never prevail against His Church. “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18.
