Weekly Prompt

Good Bye April

APRIL, Bye, bye!

Good Bye April2022,

Never to appear again; yes, we will see April again but never April in 2022. The BEGINNING of a new month today, May 1st!

ALREADY?

Time goes by so fast when we are having fun.
The beginning is always exciting; I expect a new Great grandchild soon, sometime during this new month of May.
Life first, we begin; begin the climb! Upward sometimes; we fall as Christ fell three times as He rose to His destination. We also have a destination, but first, we must BEGIN TO climb those worn steps covered with roses with thorns, sad times, and tearful times.

WE BEGIN

Oh No!

EMPTY — but not for long!

Yesterday was Good Friday, and I spent several hours in Church participating in the liturgies of the memories, as we are encouraged by Holy Church.
Today, the Church refers to as Holy Saturday; I feel empty, knowing many Christians want His Resurrection but not His Cross; I cry!
Remembering how He was placed into the tomb and closed, separated, I feel deep mourning. We, the laity and the Church spend at Our Lord’s sepulcher, this day meditating on His Sacred Passion and Death. There is no Mass; the sacred altar is bare.

Knowing that Jesus at any time could have said NO!
STOP! I will redeem them without all this suffering,
but would we appreciate it if He did?

This is the Mystery of our Faith! Remember too, how SHORT
our life is on earth, even 100 years is short compared to eternity!

Brain Exercise, challenge, I dare you!

This one is what I call a real challenge if ever there was one!

At least for me, it challenged my brain, what an exercise!

Lucky Dip – Saturday Mix, 26 March 2022, has reached into the… mystery bag and pulled out a Palindrome!

What is a mirror, a reflection, RIGHT! That is what a Palindrome IS! If interested please go to this link for details.

My attempt is sort of a poem that mirrors, in other words forward and backward it means the same thing. When I say attempt, I mean it! Also don’t forget weeklyprompt.com the prompt is Mother the theme of my write below.

A mirror of
Mothers need
Love to care
For children; want mother.
Fulfillment required —
For happy families
Complete neverending!
Strong &  sturdy all day long;
She works and plays,
Never complains.
Her energy is love
Love is life!
Mother and wife she is.
Yes to both; is answer.

mirrored

Answer is both — to yes!
Is she wife and mother?
Life is love.
Love is energy!
Complains never,
Plays and works;
Long day all sturdy & strong
Neverending — complete!
Families happy for
Required fulfillment!
Mother want children for
Care — to Love!
Need Mothers.

Weekly Prompt

A Nostalgic Time in my life

The value of a moment years past, thinking it was only grief at that time, but knowing today the moment was valuable.

How can grief be nostalgia become of value, it can!

Grief to most of us always means sorrow, a loss, tears, a broken heart.
As time passes, acceptance of the crisis is different for each of us. Speaking for myself, my worse experience was watching my daughter — her husband both suffering over the death of their three-year-old son; while dealing with my own grief. I remember that first Christmas after the fact, walking through the store, looking at the variety of toys for my grandchildren, and bursting into tears at the thought of him who was no longer with us.

Now twenty-two or so years have passed, I finally see God’s hand, His will. He has truly blessed us all; we still have him; he is our sinless little saint in heaven! We know this because we ask him to talk to God for us when we need a favor, and it is done. The child was adopted; he was the answer to many prayers at that time, now he helps us when we pray.

God gave him to us for a little while; he was indeed God’s chosen one.
I wrote the story on my blog in detail about this child; if you would like to read it, you might better understand why we are so blessed. You can find it here –> below.

Lines that rhyme two prompts in one post.

Two in One PromptS today the words are number ONE (1) MAVEN

and (2) OVERTHINKERS

Just a simple poem with seven syllables in each line and a little rhyme.

Commonsense not aplenty
At times my mind is empty!
Now again, I need a pro.
A Maven Someone that shows—
An overthinker, you know
With brains with tiny blinkers.
Speaking way over my head;
Do I follow what was said?
You tell them they are funny,
They think we are the dummy!
Their kind are easily smart
When puzzled, they press restart.

Weekly Prompt

Did you ever wonder why?

Otherwise known as WATER

Most of us, all of us post our life, beliefs, feelings as I do! Aquatic or Water my first thoughts here. Thanks to Weekly Prompts for the inspiration!

***********************************

Did you ever wonder why God chose water for the Sacrament of Baptism? Baptism washes away original sin, the sin we all inherited from Adam and Eve. Water is the outward sign necessary in which the Sacrament washes away this deadly sin.

Continue to read a Bible commentary from the book of Romans:
Romans 6:23 according to Haydock's commentary, "For the wages, which the tyrant sin gives to his soldiers and slaves, is eternal death; but the wages, the pay, the reward, which God gives to those that fight under him, is everlasting life; which, though a reward of our past labours, as it is often called in the Scriptures, is still a grace, or free gift; because if our works are good, or deserve a reward in heaven, it is God's grace that makes them deserve it. For, as St. Augustine says, when God crowns our works, he crowns his own gifts." (Witham)

Yes, without water we are dead in more ways than one.

Interesting Wall Post — No! Not a wall poster a post!

The prompts are so delicious I wish I had the time to address them one by one. However, sometimes I can't think of something worthy, just silly stuff, and yes, I do silly stuff occasionally and enjoy reading it as well.
Today I don't have my "silly" hat on, so I researched the word "Wall." Interesting word (wall) a word that takes you through various paths. During my exploring around I found this interesting quote that reminds me of today's politics, and yet at the same time, it was religious, at least to me!

RDP Tuesday asks today what we save? I like to save exciting quotes; this one below is a saver for me by Haruki Murakami, a Japanese author. He was born in 1949; there is much to read about him on the Internet; and below is one of his quotes I chose to SAVE AND post for the "Weekly Prompts Weekend challenge."

************

“If there is a hard, high wall and an egg that breaks against it, no matter how right the wall or how wrong the egg, I will stand on the side of the egg. Why? Because each of us is an egg, a unique soul enclosed in a fragile egg. Each of us is confronting a high wall. The high wall is the system which forces us to do the things we would not ordinarily see fit to do as individuals . . . We are all human beings, individuals, fragile eggs. We have no hope against the wall: it’s too high, too dark, too cold. To fight the wall, we must join our souls together for warmth, strength. We must not let the system control us — create who we are. It is we who created the system. (Jerusalem Prize acceptance speech, JERUSALEM POST, Feb. 15, 2009)”

Bloganuary, Only 6Sentence, Weekly Prompt

I can, I can someday fly away!

If only I could fly like a bird; can you imagine, anticipate and picture rising, soaring through the air, going everywhere! I admit that sometimes I fly in my dreams; usually, when some evil is about to capture me, I fly away with a rapid, high-speed express flight, to be sure. But that is only in my dream. How to fly is truly something I wish I knew how to do.
Is it possible to learn? I fear not, like a bird, but perhaps someday as an angel, if I pray and depend on God enough.

Weekly Prompt

It All Begins with a Hail Mary!

Its the weekend and time for a Weekly Prompts Challenge!

I agree it is too early for Christmas Cards; however my post along with the prompt word “ordinary,” reminds me of a specific card I received years and years ago. This post is not meant to criticize but to explain the Traditional Catholic point of view.

Take the word “ordinary,” a word that offends me; offends because of an experience I had many years ago. Opening my Christmas cards one day, a particular card from a dear Protestant friend, I treasured her friendship and still do.

The card is described with a picture of Baby Jesus in the arm of His Mother. The sentiment described her as being ordinary.

Can anyone imagine an ordinary woman being chosen to carry God within her own body, she is a vessel of God, His tabernacle for nine months. Therefore she must be without sin, and was conceived without sin, she is called the Immaculate Conception. “Not to be confused with another mysterious and miraculous event, the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus, the Immaculate Conception is about how God acted in an extraordinary way in the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary.”

Know that she was not unique by her own choice; of her own accord. God created her this way to be the Mother of God for a particular role. One can not separate God’s natures the human nature, from the Divine nature; they are one.

Of all HIS creations, she is God’s Masterpiece. It was His will He came to us THROUGH HER! She is not an ordinary woman.

Can you imagine a famous artist with his masterpiece of a painting, and people flock to see and say, this is just an ordinary painting, nothing special here? The renowned and well-celebrated artist would be offended by such a remark, and rightly so.

CURIOUS CRITTERS on Wednesday

I love taking pictures, the geese are on the Spokane river near my property, the “outhouse” is really a tool shed and the lurker is added for interest! The butterfly is resting on my daughters finger, and the birds are resting on a wire nearby!

All this because Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge ask for it!

A Prompt, TreeSquare and quote bending together

This weekend I noticed on the weekly prompts the word reminded me of a tree right here round the corner from my house. Of course I grabbed my camera to capture a picture of it for #TreeSquare. Why? The tree bends and that was the word for weekly promtps weekend.

I did have a problem getting this image squared off, had to do a little hacking on the top, but take a look at the tree bending.

“The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over”. Adsop
