I tried two forms with the same theme; first, the butterfly cinquain a nine-line syllabic form with the pattern two, four, six, eight, two, eight, six, four, two. The second form is a traditional Haiku with the syllabic structure of 5-7-5

I just can’t resist a butterfly cinquain and haiku. Two of my favorite forms.

Shape poetry comes in many forms. Butterfly cinquain is just one of them.

Myrna, these poems are wonderful. The last one is a senryu because you allude to human responses. Haiku is always nature-related. I really like the butterfly cinquain. Well done! ❤
